CANTER New England Comes To King Oak -
For the first time King Oak Farm will be the venue for CANTER NE spring hunter pace which will be held on Sunday, May 18th, 2008. Participants in the hunter pace will have the opportunity to take advantage of King Oak's extensive cross country courses and trails on more than 180 acres of farm and woods. During the hunter pace, horses and riders in different divisions-flat and jumping-will follow pre-defined routes, trying to finish the course as closely as possible to an optimum time. All pace proceeds will benefit CANTER New England's placement and adoption efforts, which have helped over 1,500 retiring Thoroughbred racehorses since 2002.
