Frances Cross - Trainer
Having
ridden since childhood, Frances evented through the preliminary level from
the early 70's to the mid 80's. Since then she has concentrated on
schooling young horses and introducing them to cross-country at King Oak
Farm in Southampton, MA, a combined training and dressage facility.
She continues her work in dressage and presently competes one horse at
the Prix St. George level, as well as a number of young horses at the lower
levels.
King
Oak Farm offers boarding, training and lessons; and since 1982 has been
the site for the two recognized horse trials for which she serves as organizer.
The farm is also the site of a recognized dressage show, which Fran manages.
Recently she has begun to import KWPN horses for sale. Fran is a graduate
of the University of Massachusetts and hold a BHS Al certification. She
has been on the Board of Governors for the USCTA representing Area 1. She
currently holds licensure as an AHSA Technical Delegate (D/CT), Canadian
licensure as a TD; and is completing the requirements for licensure as
a CT judge.
